A collaborative building together for better postsecondary futures
The DC Postsecondary Success Collaborative brings together professionals across the District who hold the common goal of improving postsecondary outcomes for DC students and residents. The community of practice aims to empower youth by providing those that support them an ecosystem of resources and a sense of community, centering anti-racism, openness, innovation, and equity in all its work.
Who We Are
Young people across the District experience a unique set of barriers in finding the right path after high school and, eventually, to a family-sustaining career. We believe that many of these barriers persist because professionals working with youth and residents are not equipped with the tools, resources, and data they need to effectively advise on DC’s multiple set of post-high school pathways.
What We Do
We bring together everyone in the postsecondary ecosystem: college access and CTE educators, high school advisors and counselors, nonprofit leaders, workforce development professionals, research/policy experts, foundation partners, higher education, and District agencies. By working together, we have created a community dedicated to helping our young people achieve postsecondary success.
